Oat biscuits

Ingredients

  • 75g plain flour
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 75g demerara sugar
  • 75g porridge oats
  • 75g butter
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup

Method

  1. Preheat oven 160’C/Gas mark 3
  2. Put the plain flour in a bowl with half a level teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
  3. Add the demerara sugar and porridge oats and stir together
  4. Heat the butter in a pan with a tablespoon of golden syrup
  5. Mix it altogether and roll it into balls (you should have about 12)
  6. Set them well apart on a greased baking tray and bake for 7-15 minutes, depending on your oven, until golden brown.
