Being rich in antioxidants, beta carotene, vitamin C and B complex vitamins, iron and phosphorous, sweet potatoes prove to be excellent immunity boosters to keep most ailments at bay.

The high content of fibre in sweet potatoes makes it a highly intestine-friendly vegetable. They are rich in starch that soothes the stomach and the intestines, and makes the movement of food much smoother.

he tubers are high-calorie starch foods with no saturated fats or cholesterol. Vis-a-vis potatoes, they have higher amylose to amylopectin ratio, resulting in a slow raise of blood pressure levels.

Puree procedure

For 1 time meal

1/2 cup of peeled chopped sweet potatoes

1/2 cup pf water

For freezing ( 1 week)

2 cups peeled chopped sweet potatoes

1.5 cups water

In a sauce pan boil  Peeled and chopped sweet potatoes in water until soft and tender. remove from heat and blend with electric blender until soft and lumps free puree is reading.

Note: start introducing semi solid to solid food when your baby is 6 months old. start introducing from

1- 2 tps in first week

2-2.5 tps in second week

1 tablespoon in third week

2 tablespoon in fourth week

also according to the appetite of your baby
